Eagle Ridge Coquitlam neighbourhood guide.

Streets are mostly residential but it is bordered by major Coquitlam roads – Barnet Hwy to the south, Guildford Hwy to its north. Many of the streets are named after birds of prey (Falcon, Peregrine, Harrier).

It is home to the Coquitlam Crunch, an urban hike full of steps along a narrow green vein through the heart of this neighbourhood. The area is slightly more urban than the neighbourhoods to its north primarily because of the major roads and retails/commercial areas on its borders. Skytrain stations nearby include: Inlet Centre, Coquitlam Central, Lincoln, Lafarge-Lake Douglas stations.

This is a great neighbourhood to raise a young family. It allows you to jog with your baby and finish your jog with a nearby coffee or snack at nearby retail areas. The locals enjoy the hidden gem – trails that offer west coast outdoors within the heart of a city. While Westwood Plateau is thoroughly residential and like the top of the ski peak, Eagle Ridge is like the base village perimeter with access groceries, plazas, small shops, retail and other services and amenities.
