Mt Pleasant has some of vancouver’s oldest neighbourhoods seeing lowpoints in the 70-80s. However, it has had a complete renaissance into a craft ale and beer culture centre. BC is surrounded by forest, mountain and sea and that has heavily inspired beer flavours locally here. The neighbourhood was home to one of the oldest breweries and is now home to Main st. Brewing.

Mt. Pleasant East was mainly single detached homes that slowly gave way to low-rise multi-family units. With strong growth in the area Mount Pleasant has garnered a hip trendy vibe. Along with the available new upscale lofts, townhomes, and renovated craftsman builds, young entrenpreneurs and families are proud to call this area home.

Mt Pleasant has so much to offer with its artistic and individual store owners crafting up art, jewelry, crafts, furniture, unique eats, craft ales and food parings. The community centre is also one of the most popular in the city with indoor climbing, gym, yoga, fitness, dance. The area is large includes South Main SOMA and bumps into false creek blending perfectly to continue the craft ale trail.

Mount Pleasant is a rejuvenated trendy and quirky neighbourhood in Vancouver. Main and Broadway serves as the retail area. Dotted from this center are Independent owner stores, local boutiques, small entertainment venues and first-class restaurants.
"SOMA along Main Street beginning from 2nd Ave and heading south is starting to show further rejuvenation. The area has already been home to some large corporate establishments and the influx of young professionals has started to revitalize the area. For example, Broadway and Main is seeing some renewal in restaurants and some old dives have made way for fresh ideas.
