Downtown Vancouver is known for its nightlife, Pacific centre mall, avenue shopping hubs, luxury living, hotels and architecture. It includes the many landmarks like Main Vancouver Public Library, The Orpheum, BC Stadium, Rogers Arena(home of the Canucks), and recent architecture like Vancouver House hi-rise residential buildings.
There is a mix of housing types in this area ranging from townhomes, high-rise condos, and luxury upscale buildings. There are condos conversions from commercial buildings, hotels that keep some of the historic look of the downtown. Meanwhile Gastown provides a blend of retail and stylish lofts that many feel remind them of Montreal.
